Oz Comic-Co Melbourne 2013

ozcomiccon

July found me back in Melbourne for another convention, this time Oz Comic-Con. I was eagerly awaiting the follow up from Supanova Melbourne where I got Rose McGowens autograph. This time they had three more cast members from Charmed, Holy Marie Combs, Shannon Doherty and Brian Krause. And if that wasn’t already enough, they also had Cary Elwes, one of the stars of Princess Bride and another of my favourite movies Robin Hood Men in Tights. I really wasnt sure which actor I should be fangirling over more!oz

Sarah and I had been anxiously waiting to meet the rest of the cast from Charmed (sans Alyssa Milano) so as soon as we arrived, we head over and bought our tickets. Thankfully an advantage to being a vendor, is the fact that you don’t have to line up to meet and get signatures from the stars. When we went up to wait in line we were popped out at the front. My first star of the day was Cary Elwes and he definitely did not disappoint. He was very down to earth and friendly and happily made conversation while he signed the picture for me. When I wished him the best for his trip in Australia, he said that I was very sweet and gave me a hug *cue fangirl moment* so this will forever be one of my favourite star moments! Holly and Shannon were both very reserved, but they looked just as gorgeous in real life as they did on screen. After watching them for so long on TV is was very surreal meeting them in real life! Last of all for the day was Brian Krause and he was even more charming and talkative in person then he is on-screen. I heard later on that he made half of the convention hall swoon when he  took off a jumper, taking his shirt with it.

group_allOne day I hope Alyssa Milano will considers coming out to visit her Australian fans and my Charmed collection can be complete ♥

Day 1

As for the rest of the con, I was so caught up with the stars that I only took a couple of photos of the stall and some visitors!  Sarah and Marie on day one before the convention opens. Sarah is wearing a Metamorphose Room print JSK in black and Marie is wearing Liefs latest design, Matryoshka OP and accessories. On the right I had a picture with the accessories wall. I am wearing a Innocent World Original Chocolate Print JSK in the green colourway (even though it actually looks like navy!) I teamed it up with a ivory Innocent World blouse, offbrand ivory lace tights and heels in chocolate brown. My favourite part of the coordinate is the Q-Pot chocolate piece necklace which is made out of wood.

day one-group

I spotted a very cute Adventure Time inspired lolita in lavender. A very convincing Gendo from Evangelion. We had Belle a very sweet Melbourne lolita drop in and say hi to visit Marie. I got up close with a Wolverine cosplayer *ahem* Sarah and I were not stalking him all day to get a picture *ahem*

day 2On day two I wore a Baby the Stars Shine Bright Blooming Snow White under bust JSK, its quite a old design and I love how the mint green and red pop out of the dark colourway. We had a visit from some adorable fawn inspired lolitas. Marie held a “Lolita makeover” for K the host of Madmans Yokoso TV! I think the result was pretty amazing, don’t you?
