Picnic and Chocolate egg hunt

We’re goin’ on a egg hunt (We’re goin’ on a egg hunt) We’re going to find a big one, (We’re going to find a big one,) I’m very hungry (I’m very hungry) What a beautiful day! (What a beautiful day!)

Who is up for a picnic and egg hunt? Bonus, more chocolate!! It feels like ages since we have had a picnic, join us with a plate to share and a gift to give

This time of year is usually when we have the best weather and we were blessed with blue skies and lovely dappled sunlight in the Botanic gardens. Our picnics usually result in eating lots of yummy cute treats and taking lots of random pictures.

Surprisingly we get to all sorts of antics while in Lolita (much more so that if we were dressed casually I think!) The Botanic gardens are always perfect for this, as there are so many place to photograph with lovely light  and backdrops.

We had four bunnies in attendance and we all decided that we could hide behind this large trunk! Chelsea, Jasmine and Ripley look lovely coming out of our picnic at the Rotunda. Chelsea and I though we would try and reproduce the creation of Adam by Michelangelo. While not super accurate (we dint have the picture from reference and just went off memory) I think we nailed it!

At the picnic we had a gift exchange. Jasmine received a lovely handmade chocolate bunny that Ripley made, Chelsea received a cosmetic giftset, Nat got handmade bunny ears that I made and Ripley  got some lolita accessories.

I took some photos of some sleepy bunnies in the afternoon sun.

Chelsea was looking very chocolate inspired with a JSK from Taobao. Tamara was wearing Angelic Pretty Wonder Trip Tartan JSK  Ripley was looking very excited about her easter surprise in a Angelic Pretty Country of Sweets JSK. Nat poses in a Bodyline pink polkadot OP.

I was looking surprisingly pastel (not my usual colour combination) in an Angelic Pretty Fancy Paper Dolls Tiered JSK. Jasmine and Ashleigh twinned in Angelic Pretty Chess Chocolate Jabot JSK. Jess is in a handmade skirt.

Pastel isn’t my usual go to colour in lolita, but this outfit felt very cute and appropriate to wear for Easter.
